You don't need a project. You don't need a marketing team. You need thirty calendar days and about thirty minutes a week. Here is what to do.
Week 1 — Install and see
This week is about proof. Get the tracking installed and confirm it's actually collecting.
| Task | Time | Done when |
|---|---|---|
| Create a lead.box account | 5 min | You can log in |
| Paste the tracking snippet into your site | 10 min (or ask your web person) | Verifier shows green |
| Wait 48 hours | — | You see "visits detected" in the dashboard |
| Add one colleague | 2 min | They also have access |
Week 2 — Learn what "normal" looks like
This week you don't act. You watch. You want to know what an average day of visitors on your site looks like: which industries, which pages, roughly how many identified companies per day.
- Open the dashboard on Monday and Friday — no more, no less.
- Screenshot Friday's list for your own baseline.
- Note the top 3 pages people actually land on.
Resist the urge to email anyone yet
Week 2 is a listening week. Acting too early creates awkward messages. You want a feel for the room first.
Week 3 — Pick 3 and reach out
Now you act — but small. Look at last week's identified companies. Pick three that clearly fit what you sell. Send three short, human emails. Not a campaign. Three.
Template idea: "Hi — I saw {Company} matches the kind of business we help with {problem}. Not sure if it's on your radar; if it is, I'd love to send a one-pager rather than a sales pitch."
Week 4 — Build the habit
The last week is about installing a small ritual that outlives the plan.
| Milestone | Signal |
|---|---|
| Weekly 15-min review scheduled | Recurring calendar block exists |
| One saved filter matching your ICP | Filter loads in one click |
| One outbound sent per week | Sent-mail folder proves it |
| At least one reply | Even a "not now, thanks" counts |
After day 30
If you have at least one real conversation that started from a website visit, the setup is paying off. Keep the 15-minute Friday ritual and let the pipeline compound. If nothing landed at all, look at your ICP filter first — usually it's too loose, and useful companies drown in noise.
