The best way to trust a tool is to hear its owner tell you what it can't do. So here it is: an honest map of the ceilings, in the same plain words we'd use in a customer call.
What we cannot do
- We cannot identify individual people from a visit. No names, no emails, no phone numbers.
- We cannot identify home users, mobile-network users, or people using a VPN.
- We cannot recover the past — we start seeing companies only after installation.
- We cannot promise a specific number of identified companies. Traffic mix decides it.
- We cannot magically qualify leads. A company visiting your site tells you they visited — not that they're ready to buy.
The real identification rate
Depending on your traffic, expect somewhere between 15% and 45% of B2B visits to be identifiable at the company level. Not 90%. Not 3%. If someone shows you a screenshot with 95%, ask what "identified" means in their tool.
| Traffic type | Company-level identification rate |
|---|---|
| Mostly B2B, EU-based | ~25–45% |
| Mixed B2B / B2C | ~10–25% |
| Mostly consumer / mobile | ~2–8% |
| Heavy VPN or agency traffic | Very low |
Ranges, not promises
Rates depend on your audience, geography, and how your traffic mix looks. Ranges are directional. If yours is very different after two weeks, tell us — usually it's a setup issue we can help with.
Where we deliberately draw lines
Some limits are technical. Others are on purpose. We do not fingerprint devices, we do not merge cross-site behaviour, and we do not resell your data. Those are choices, not accidents. If a competitor claims to do those things and sells it as a feature, that's information about them, not us.
So what is it actually good for?
Turning anonymous B2B traffic into a short weekly list of named companies you can decide to reach out to. That is the whole job. When teams treat it as a superpower, they get disappointed. When they treat it as a weekly signal source, they get pipeline.
